Pak Automation Ltd. have recently completed a labeling system in which the customer required a high speed labeling solution.
The system was built in stainless steel and was fitted with a Mitsubishi PLC for the system controls.
A Touchscreen HMI for accessing machine parameters was chosen and utilised to display the system diagnostics and alarms.
The system was fitted with five off AC drives all with Frequency inverters which are accessed through the HMI.
The label applicator was fitted with a Eurocode 150 Hot foil overprinter from Open Date Equipment Ltd. A variety of round containers were handled on the system and label placement accuracy was tighly controlled due to the accuracy of the stepper driven label applicator. Overall system length of 3.0 metres with a plastic slat band conveyor and side transferes for integration with existing line equipment.
